Volatile Organic Compounds detector-transmitter E2648-VOC is a member of new PluraSens® family of multifunctional measurement instruments which is intended for detection of various solvent vapors, e.g. toluene, xylene, ethanol.

Applications include storages, painting chambers and other areas, where toxic or potentially explosive concentration of volatile organic compounds can accumulate.

The instrument utilises novel fully calibrated and temperature compensated metal-oxide gas sensor with excellent repeatability, stability and long lifetime.

According to user's preferences the detection range may be set to either 0...100% LEL (for fire prevention) or to toxicity range from 0...100 ppm to 0...1000 ppm of target gas.

To connect the detector-transmitter to safety or building automation systems use two analog outputs and RS485 digital interface with industry standard Modbus RTU protocol. We recommend to set the output scale within 20-100% of the detection range.

Two relays with closing contact (option) may be used for remote signalling or ventilation control. Default alarm set-points are typically at 20% LEL and at 50% LEL for 0...100% LEL range and at 100 ppm and 300 ppm for 0...500 ppm range.

The device is available with either attached or remote sensor probe (default cable length is 3 m).
